I love this poem, Lynne. I was stopped at the image of the man’s face for some time before I could continue reading. It flows so well, so much to say, to give!

Thank you so much, Dan! Yes, he made quite an impression on me – we had many chats on my weekly visits, some time ago now. One of those poems wholly “given” – practically wrote itself.

I feel “the anonymous daily robbery of spirit / that we somehow tolerate…” viscerally… and I agree that it’s possible to be someone in this world who simply tries to help guard against this phenomenon on behalf of others (and, in turn, ourselves). Namaste, Lynne! ❤️

Oh, Stephanie, thank you for your words, so well said! I wanted to acknowledge this guy, who is representative of many who cross our paths daily, quietly doing their jobs and really connecting while doing so. Namaste, my friend!

Gee, Ken, thank you – I’m so glad the poem came across that way! He certainly made an impression on me.
