You’ve “pocketed” Cibolo Creek in this poem – beautiful.

Thank you, Jazz! It was a challenge trying to “get” a place I haven’t been.

The title, alone, has me thinking. Details lost to us, except for that moment immune to the whirlwind surrounding it, like a sweet spot amid the ruins of a tornado.

Wow, Ken, I so love the way your mind works! And your second “sentence” – virtually a poem in itself!
Thank you!

“Bernie” – sounds like an old friend. Bernie was my dad.
And so he slipped into your poem about time, buffalo boys, tornados touching down – everywhere but. Om of sky. Cowboys. The poem, key in a lock, life of its own, opens a heart-door.
Lovely poem Lynne… and great to hear you reading!
